Clothing Repairathon at Moss Park Market Nov. 10

Rip in your coat? Tear in your jeans? Get your clothes repaired for free on Saturday, Nov. 10 at Moss Park Market (260 Queen St. East.) Volunteers will be mending clothes free of charge between noon and 3 p.m. Bring those holey sweaters, ripped jeans and shirts missing a button and volunteers will do their best to repair them. If you’d like to learn how to do repairs, volunteers will be happy to show you and help you mend your clothes.

Maximum two items per person to ensure we help as many people as possible. And keep in mind, that we don’t do alterations, just repairs. Hope to see you there!

Clothing Repairathon is Back at Taste of Regent Park Aug. 15

Mind the heat and get mending! Toronto Clothing Repairathon is thrilled to back in at Taste of Regent Park, Wednesday, Aug. 15. Volunteers will be fixing, repairing and mending clothes for free at Regent Park from 5-8 p.m. as part of the Taste of Regent Park Market. Find us at the market, stay for the communal supper at 6 p.m. and the movie at sundown. Psst… this week’s movie is Sister Act

Bring your busted jeans and holey sweaters to our table, where we’ll do our best to patch, mend and repair your favourite clothes. Please bring a maximum of two (2) items per person to ensure we help as many people as possible. And keep in mind, that we don’t do alterations, just repairs. Zipper replacements may not be possible at every event as we are dependant on the skill levels of the volunteers that day, and the time available to complete the repair.

Can’t make it? No worries! We’ll be at Withrow Park Farmers’ Market on Saturday, Aug. 18 from 9 a.m. till 1 p.m.

Repairathons at Withrow Park Farmers’ Market Repair Days

Get ready for a summer of mending at Withrow Park Farmers’ Market. Toronto Clothing Repairathon is excited to be part of repairs days at the market this summer, with four dates planned. Find us at Withrow Park, located at 725 Logan Ave, from 9 a.m. to noon on June 16, June 30, August 18 and September 15.

We’re sew excited to be at Evergreen Brick Works, Saturday, April 28 from 10 a.m. till 2 p.m. Join us at the Brick Works, where volunteers will be mending clothing for free as part of the Kids’ World of Energy Festival.

Repairathon April 14 at Toronto Public Library

Toronto Clothing Repairathon is excited to have its first event at the Toronto Public Library! We’ll be at the Lillian H. Smith branch (239 College Street) on Saturday, April 14 from 10 a.m. till 1 p.m. Get your clothes mended for free by friendly volunteers – no library card needed!

Toronto Clothing Repairathon is excited to host an event at St. Lawrence Market on Saturday, March 10. Volunteers will be fixing and mending clothes for free in the South Building, as part of the St. Lawrence Market Farmers’ Market. Find us in the tent behind the main market building at 125 The Esplanade on Saturday, March 10  from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., where we’ll be fixing clothing for free.

Volunteers will be mending clothes for free at the EarlyON Child and Family Centre (38 Regent St.), January 20 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Bring those holey sweaters, ripped jeans and shirts missing a button and volunteers will do their best to repair them. If you’d like to learn how to do repairs, volunteers will be happy to show you and help you mend your clothes.

Clothing Repairathon + Free Mending Workshop Dec. 9 at YIMBY Festival

Volunteers are ready to repair your holey sweaters, ripped jeans and reattach those missing buttons, just in time for winter! Join us at the YIMBY Festival, Saturday Dec. 9 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Metro Hall (55 John St.) in room 803, where volunteers will be mending clothes for free.

Want to learn how to repair your own clothes? We’ll also be running a free workshop on Mending Tips and Tricks from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Join us and learn some basic mending skills including how to sew up a fallen hem, reattaching a button and repairing small holes and tears. If you have any items in need of repair, bring them along to practice on. We’ll have scraps to practice on as well. Please sign up for the workshop here.

Got a tear? Get it repaired! Volunteers will be mending clothes for free, Sunday, Nov. 5 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Wychwood Barns as part of Ecofair at the Barns.

Find our table and bring your ripped jeans, holey sweaters and shirts in need of buttons to have them repaired just in time for winter. Does your coat need a new zipper?
