Clothing Repairathon August 26 at Parents for Better Beginnings in Regent Park

Busted buttons? Shirt need a stitch? Bring them to Parents for Better Beginnings on Saturday, August 26, where Toronto Clothing Repairathon volunteers will be fixing clothes for free. We’ll be at 38 Regent Street from 11 a.m. till 2 p.m., fixing rips, tears and offering a simple clothing repair workshop.

Please bring a maximum of two items per person. And keep in mind, that we don’t do alterations, just repairs.

Love to sew? We’re always looking for sewers of all skill levels. We’re a friendly and fun group who loves sharing our skills and giving back to the community. Love to help out? Please sign up at app.repairathon.com to hear about upcoming events all year long.

I’ve got a Singer Fashionmate 237 (within a cabinet) that was used once or twice since it was serviced a decade ago. This is the last all-metal machine made by Singer.
Have all the attachments/accessories, oil, and manual.
Other than brushing off the dust, it’s in great shape.

I’ve never learned to use a sewing machine and wasn’t planning to.
I would be happy to donate and deliver it (email is viewable by admins).

    Thanks

Hi. I’m sorry, but we can’t accept donations of sewing machines at this time. I am hoping to get together a list of places which accept these donations and publish this at some point.
