Clothing Repairathon is Back at Taste of Regent Park Aug. 15

Mind the heat and get mending! Toronto Clothing Repairathon is thrilled to back in at Taste of Regent Park, Wednesday, Aug. 15. Volunteers will be fixing, repairing and mending clothes for free at Regent Park from 5-8 p.m. as part of the Taste of Regent Park Market. Find us at the market, stay for the communal supper at 6 p.m. and the movie at sundown. Psst… this week’s movie is Sister Act

Bring your busted jeans and holey sweaters to our table, where we’ll do our best to patch, mend and repair your favourite clothes. Please bring a maximum of two (2) items per person to ensure we help as many people as possible. And keep in mind, that we don’t do alterations, just repairs. Zipper replacements may not be possible at every event as we are dependant on the skill levels of the volunteers that day, and the time available to complete the repair.

Can’t make it? No worries! We’ll be at Withrow Park Farmers’ Market on Saturday, Aug. 18 from 9 a.m. till 1 p.m.

As a volunteer-driven group, we’re always looking for sewers of all skill levels. We’re a friendly and fun group who loves sharing our skills and giving back to the community. Love to help out? Please sign up at to hear about upcoming events throughout the rest of 2018.
