Repairathon at the CNIB!

Repairathon volunteers are coming back to the CNIB! We’ll be at the GTA Community Hub (1525 Yonge St) on Saturday April 4th from 11a-1p.

CNIB members are asked to bring up to two pieces of clothing in need of repair (sweaters with holes, shirts missing a button, etc.) Volunteers will repair them for free.

Want to spend a few hours sewing, learn new skills, and meet new people? Volunteer with us! We’re always looking for new menders. All skill levels are welcome. To sign up for this event, visit app.repairathon.com.

Clothing Repairathon at the Moss Park Market on November 2

The Toronto Clothing Repairathon will be mending and fixing your clothing for FREE from 11AM-2PM at the Moss Park Market (260 Queen St E, Toronto).

Bring up to two pieces of clothing in need of repair (sweaters with holes, shirts missing a button, etc.) and we’ll repair them for you on-the-spot, for free. First come, first served. Please keep in mind we do repairs only – no alterations. Zipper replacements may not be possible at every event, as we are dependent on the skill levels of the volunteers that day.

New volunteers are welcome to attend. No experience needed.



Repairathon at Withrow Park Farmer’s Market!

Come see us at Withrow Park Farmer’s Market on Saturday October 5th, from 10a to 1p . This will be our third and final Repairathon there this season! (We always love our time at Withrow, so we’ll definitely be back next year!)

Clothing Repairathon at St. Lawrence Market September 21

Toronto Clothing Repairathon is excited to participate at the St. Lawrence Market Community Harvest Festival on Saturday, September 21 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Our team of crafty volunteers will be onsite fixing and mending clothes for free on the east side of Market Street (in between Front Street and The Esplanade).

Has your favourite shirt developed a hole or a ripped seam? Jeans that have worn out? Whatever the reason, we’ll repair it so it can live and be loved for longe! If you’d like to learn how to do repairs, we’ll will be happy to show you and help you mend your clothes.

First comefirst served. Maximum two items per person to ensure we help as many people as possible. And keep in mind, that we don’t do alterations, just repairs.

Clothing Repairathon at the Junction Farmers Market September 14

Toronto Clothing Repairathon volunteers will be at the Junction Farmers’ Market (2960 Dundas St West) this Saturday, September 14. Have a zipper that needs repair? Jeans that are worn out between the thighs? Get more life out of your clothes and have them mended free of charge between 9am – 1pm.. First come, first served and maximum two items per person, to ensure we help as many people as possible. And keep in mind, that we don’t do alterations, just repairs. Hope to see you there!

Three Saturdays in September

Hey Toronto, Repairathon is coming to a Farmer’s Market near you the first three Saturdays in September!

First up, Withrow Park Farmer’s Market on the 7th, 10a-1p.

Next, we’re at the Junction Farmer’s Market on the 14th, 9a-1p.

Then, on the 21st, we’ll be at St. Lawrence Market for the Community Harvest Festival on Market St, 12-4p.

Bring those holey sweaters, ripped jeans and shirts missing a button and volunteers will do their best to repair them. If you’d like to learn how to do repairs, volunteers will be happy to show  and help you mend your clothes. First come, first served so arrive early to ensure your repair can be done! 

Maximum two items per person to ensure we help as many people as possible. And keep in mind, that we don’t do clothing alterations, just repairs. Zipper replacements may not be possible at every event as we are dependent on the skill levels of the volunteers that day, and the time available to complete the repair.

Repairathon at the Moss Park Market, Sat. May 18 from 11AM-2PM

Moss Park Market – 260 Queen St E, Toronto

On Saturday May 18, the Toronto Clothing Repairathon will be back at Building Roots TO’s Moss Park Market! Volunteers will be fixing and mending clothes from 11AM until 2PM.

The Moss Park Market is located at 260 Queen St E (between Sherbourne and Parliament). Weather permitting, we’ll be set up just outside the market under a tent. Otherwise, you’ll find us inside the shipping container.

Bring a maximum of two items (sweaters with holes, shirts missing a button, etc.) and volunteers will mend them for free. First come, first served.

Repairathon at Brickworks’ ‘Drop, Swap, and Shop’ April 14th, 2019, 10a-1p

Come one, come all, to our next clothing Repairathon! We’ll be at the Brickworks on Sunday April 14th as part of ‘Drop, Swap, and Shop’! Volunteers will be fixing and mending clothes for free in the TD Future Cities Centre from 10a to 1p. The Evergreen Brickworks is located at 550 Bayview Ave, Toronto, ON M4W 3X8.

Bring those holey sweaters, ripped jeans and shirts missing a button and volunteers will do their best to repair them. If you’d like to learn how to do repairs, volunteers will be happy to show you and help you mend your clothes.
